Solving design problems for businesses of all sizes

The Team

Who we are

Lindsey Daniels

“Full-stack designer” and art director of physical and digital space

  • I majored in Graphic Design at MassArt in Boston, MA and really hit the ground running right after that…finding myself anywhere from college preparedness gamification programs to halloween subscription boxes (before subscription boxes were cool).

Newly refreshed perspective of making more magic and light in our ever-changing and visible world. Seasoned “full stack” designer and art/creative director with a focus on digital manifestations for brands through a heavy design system lens in an agency setting. My clients are independently owned businesses, startups, enterprise healthcare corporations -- and everything in between. With over a decade of experience I’ve honed my craft around leaning into the topic at hand and bringing together the intangibles of the business need (with aesthetic sensibility, to boot),

Over a decade in professional product design from print to digital. Specializing in devising and implementing design systems for any application resulting in reproducible outcomes for all projects. Delivering focused processes that help amplify businesses, programs, or people while surfacing the strongest aspects of their value and identity.

I love working in dark, controversial, heavy, deep, psychologically or socially rich subject matter, but those concepts don’t have to be rammed down one’s throat to get the message across.

I find my flow state in other hand-creation pursuits such as plushie and quilt making, gaming, and interior decoration. A switch to exclusively working from home while consulting with a small child aids this balance, a touch.

Adam Ross

Copy, content, project management, product management, flirt for hire, factotum

  • “Adam is a tinkering thinker & creative problem-solver. Excelling at lean process design the implementation of his ideas in the healthcare, retail, and general contracting fields have found success in decreasing cost while improving outcomes across the board.

He tends to exist outside of the box your box is in.

By challenging convention and questioning standards as limitations he has turned scrap pipe into high-end modular furniture using hand tools; he sees your waste as a simple misallocation of resources. Some may call him a good example of a “MacGyver Designer”.

He would say he just wants to work with people and help them solve their problems with whatever means they already have available to them.

Lindsey Daniels and Adam Ross own and operate the full service design agency, LightDark Creative. Specializing in solidifying brand identities, production of marketing materials, and accessible UI design, LightDark serves everyone from the small business to the enterprise level client. With over a decade of diverse experience ranging from print collateral to full deployment of eCommerce websites, the agency has a proven track record of leveraging a client’s existing services in new ways to meet or exceed business goals on time and on budget. Lindsey is a MassArt alumni and currently a full time design principle for Concentrix Catalyst. She is an intuitive and collaborative designer sympathetic to the needs and limitations of her clients. She enjoys nerding out on typography, sewing together mythical creatures, and baking delicious treats.

Adam’s 16-year healthcare career led him to become a natural at making data-driven decisions in the digital product project management space. He currently serves full time as the Website Product Owner for Celebrity Branding Agency. He enjoys tabletop gaming, making stuff out of discarded objects, and watching his family enjoy the meals he cooks. Together, Lindsey and Adam are raising their daughter in Worcester, MA. A shared love of travel, Magic: The Gathering, and multiplayer Diablo keeps their partnership fresh yet familiar. They are dedicated to ensuring that high end design is accessible, available, and usable by everyone who would benefit from it.
